After taking a couple years away from the artworld, I decided it was time to try something new. This body of work was inspired around the word “Liminal”-a state in which the past is left behind, but yet the future state has yet to emerge. The works are all intuitive and experimental, combining new and old techniques I’ve learned through Printmaking, drawing, painting, and combining mixed media. Acrylic, metal leaf, charcoal, spray paint, and paint markers were used in combination to convey these new pieces. It is my hope that the energy of these works inspires and brings new energy to the viewers. They are to me a “threshold”-a doorway in between new and old spaces, places, and feelings.
