“After a long 8 years of deep recession, from 2007 to 2015, which looked like a real estate tsunami for new home construction, our community is experiencing a mini boom in new home development”, says Mehdi Azarmi, Executive Vice President & Project Manager for Fairway Constructors, located in Fort Mohave, AZ.

“Two and a half years ago, we started to test the market with the Santa Fe Planned Community, a 65 single family home development, and by the last quarter of 2018 we are sold out,” says Azarmi. “Meanwhile, we had our grand opening of our newest development at Fairway Village Estates for Phase B with 42 home sites, which is now 70% committed and we have begun the development of 63 new home sites in Phase C, which already has 11 reservations with absolutely no marketing efforts.”

According to Azarmi, Baby Boomers are retiring at a record number, mostly from Southern California, discouraged with the high cost of living and taxes, driving a large migration of Baby Boomers to the Tri-State area.

“They are very sophisticated and appreciate the quality of the construction offered by Fairway Constructors at Fairway Village Estates & Santa Fe, as well as off-site construction on their own home sites from ‘Bridge to Bridge’.”

Azarmi continues, “We, at Fairway Constructors, anticipate a very strong market in 2019 and are planning for the development of Phase D in 2020.”
