The planning and zoning commission will meet Tuesday to discuss renewing a permit for a Golden Valley animal sanctuary.
The commission will discuss the renewal for a permit for the fifth time for the For the Luv of Paws II, Inc. facility on Oatman Road in west Golden Valley.
The permit is for a domestic animal rescue and sanctuary on a 10-acre lot on Oatman Road. A permit for the sanctuary was renewed for the fourth time in June 2015. The permit was renewed in 2010 allowing up to 60 dogs and 120 cats.
In other action, the commission will be asked to renew a permit for the sixth time for a dog breeding kennel in Golden Valley. The property is on 2.3 acres on Araby Road north of Chino Drive.
The planning and zoning issues will go before the county supervisors for approval at their May 7 board meeting. The commission meeting starts at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the board of supervisor’s auditorium at the county administration building, 700 W. Beale St. in Kingman.
